Today Prima Cheese( Prima) stands as one of the biggest cheese processors in the whole of the UK. Whether its clients are topping pizzas or running a top-class restaurant, it has the cheese expertise to match all applications and requirements, from sliced, grated and shredded, to diced, string or block.
A crucial decision in Prima’ s development occurred quite early in its history. In 1998, two years after it was established, the founders pivoted from making their own mozzarella to processing high-quality mozzarella bought from a big dairy producer in
Europe. Maintaining and expanding this approach, the organization still works directly with dairy giants and cheese innovators to buy groundbreaking cheese and analogue products which arrive in big blocks. This raw product is quality tested before it moves to the factory.
The next step is processing, where Prima’ s unique recipes are loaded onto the machines, before proceeding to the blending and processing stage. Quality and consistency are continually checked.
