With its half-pound, fresh-ground burgers, inventive topping combinations, laid-back‘ come as you are’ atmosphere, and trademark sense of humor – including a long-running tribute to Chuck Norris – Twisted Root has created a restaurant concept unlike any other. The brand’ s commitment to fresh ingredients, hands-on preparation, and memorable hospitality has remained at the heart of its success for nearly two decades.
Now celebrating its 20th anniversary, Twisted Root continues to grow while staying true to the values that set it apart from the beginning. As part of Local Favorite Restaurant Group, the brand has expanded across Texas while maintaining the rebellious spirit, quality standards, and customer-first approach that earned it a loyal following.
Twisted Root’ s story began when chefs Jason Bôso and Quincy Hart decided to leave behind careers on Wall Street in pursuit of their passion for food. Bringing experience from prestigious kitchens, including The Four Seasons and Pappas Bros., the pair set out to create something different.
In 2006, they opened the first Twisted Root Burger Co. location in Deep Ellum, Dallas, introducing diners to a fresh take on the classic American burger. At a time when many restaurants were focused on convenience and consistency through frozen products, Twisted
