“ We ’ ll be opening our 100th North American store by the end of this year ,” he states . “ In the coming months , we ’ re further strengthening our presence , with stores opening in Chantilly , Virginia , and Dallas , Texas . We ’ re also opening in residential areas like Brooklyn , New York , and Sterling Heights in Michigan , which will be the State ’ s first Jollibee store .”
Superior taste sensation
With its first American store opening in 1998 in Daly City , California , to cater to the area ’ s large Filipino community , Jollibee is preparing to celebrate its 25th anniversary of its North American presence . In 2022 , the business was recognized as one of America ’ s ‘ hottest brands ’ by industry-leading publication , Ad Age , highlighting the success Jollibee has experienced across the country so far . In addition , Newsweek acknowledged Jollibee as one of America ’ s favorite chains .
The business is perhaps best known for its signature fried chicken , Chickenjoy , which is hand-breaded to be next level crispy on the outside and marinated in a secret recipe and cooked hotter and faster to make it juicy and flavorful . In 2022 , Chickenjoy was named by Eater as ‘ the best chain fried chicken in America ’ after the brand beat 14 global brands in four rounds of judged contests .
“ We prioritize the taste and quality of each and every item on our menu ,” Luis explains . “ From an innovation standpoint , there ’ s a considerable planning timeline in place . This includes extensive customer research , product tests , and customer feedback to ensure we accurately understand the demands and expectations of our customers .
“ Most recently , we introduced a limitedtime product : a coconut and pineapple pie . With real pieces of coconut and pineapple chunks wrapped in a flaky pastry crust , it ’ s the perfect tropical treat for summer and our customers love it so far .
“ We ’ ve also been rolling out new sides like Baked Macaroni and Cheese to expand our menu choices and appeal to our North American audiences . Whenever we evaluate our menu , our goal is to appeal to as many taste preferences as possible and strive to provide options so that everyone can enjoy the Jollibee experience .
“ Personally , I have many favorite dishes ,” Luis reflects . “ My forever favorite is Chickenjoy though ; there ’ s something special about it being crispy outside and juicy , tender inside that I haven ’ t been able to find anywhere else . One of my newer favorites is our chicken sandwich , but whatever I choose , it has to be finished off with our signature Peach Mango Pie .”
